Soooooo many diagnoses----Wow!

Hello www readers,
School is in gear for the 2006-2007 year. I have a plethora of students with soooo many different diagnoses, it almost makes my head spin.........ADD, ADHD, Aspergers, autism, transverse hypoplasia, dyspraxia, bee sting allergies, intense peanut and peanut butter allergies, hypotonia, diabetes, kids in remission from leukemia, anemia, bladder disorders, etc. and a new one to me........Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD)........a student who was adopted from overseas has this.......Without treatment/therapy, this one could be the saddest and scariest diagnosis of all........failure to bond as a baby and young child, in this case being raised in an orphanage with probably lots of others and no real bonding with a primary caregiver......It can lead to basically no conscience and worse without corrective therapy for the long-term.

Mostly I pray for wisdom with all of them.....to teach music......No, to teach a child music and to know when compassion is in order or when tough love is needed....or something in between. I thank God that He wants us to ask for wisdom because I need it big time daily.......His wisdom.
Time to catch some zzzzzzzzzzzzzz's.........Bye!
